Saved trips, accounts and notifications

An optional account lets you save multiple plans and open your team conversations across devices. We verify your email with a one-time code and use an essential, secure session cookie to keep you signed in. Account records include your email, session/device information and saved plans. Saving a plan does not send a booking request to the agency. You choose when to request a quote.

Trip push updates and promotional push alerts are separate choices, both off by default. If you enable push, we store your browser subscription, selected destinations, time zone and consent preferences. Your browser's push provider processes delivery. Push messages use generic text and open your private inbox. You can change preferences, disconnect a device or sign out other devices in the app. Promotional alerts are limited to at most one per week. Delivery is not guaranteed; messages also remain in your inbox. The offline app stores only a public connection-help page, not your private trips.

Saved plans remain until you request their removal. To request deletion of your account, saved plans or submitted requests, contact hello@magicalagent.com from your account email. The app is for adults planning travel. We do not use third-party analytics inside the signed-in app.

What we collect

When you plan a trip with us, we collect the information you provide: your trip preferences (destination, dates, party size and ages, budget, parks, resort preference, interests, pace, accessibility or planning considerations, and occasion), your contact details (name, email, phone if provided), and anything you add to the planner or private workspace. We also generate and store a vacation plan based on your answers and keep operational records such as status changes, tasks, and messages.

How we use it

We use this information to create your vacation plan, operate your private trip workspace, connect you with a human travel specialist, respond to your messages, and help with the trip you requested. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.

Who processes it

We use a small set of service providers to run this site: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Anthropic (AI processing of your trip answers to generate planning content), and Resend (email delivery). Each processes your data only to provide their service to us. Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic's API to power the planning assistant and are handled under their privacy practices. Google Analytics processes limited site-usage data as described below.

Retention and deletion

We keep trip submissions while the request is active and afterward for operational, dispute, and legal records. Private workspace links expire after 30 days and may be replaced when the team sends a new message. To request deletion, email hello@magicalagent.com with your reference code and we'll remove it.

Cookies and analytics

We use browser local storage to keep your in-progress trip plan on your device. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, general location, device type); it sets cookies and processes usage data under Google's privacy policy. Analytics is configured without advertising personalization or Google Signals. It is not loaded on private trip, confirmation or CRM pages. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data.

We also measure a small set of planning milestones ourselves, such as starting a quote or saving a plan. A random identifier in session storage lasts up to 24 hours. We store its hash, a milestone, a broad source category and, when supplied, a destination. These events contain no contact details, trip dates, messages or page URLs, and are not linked to your account or request. We skip this measurement when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Anonymous events are removed after 90 days by scheduled maintenance. Submitted requests separately record a broad source category so we can understand how travelers find us.

The guided quote form keeps trip answers in this tab's session storage so you can move back and forth. Contact details stay in memory until you submit. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in optional notes. A successful submission clears the local quote draft.

Children

Our service is for adults planning family trips. We do not knowingly collect information from children; kids' ages entered by a parent are used only to tailor the trip plan.
